Hello, my name is Saul Bonilla. Maybe some of you remember me. Yes, I used to work in Language Village as a part time teacher. Now I am back as a regular teacher!

I’m from the United States. I was born and raised in New York City. Coming from the city known as the big apple, I have met many people from different races and culture. My exposure to different kinds of people helped me to develop an ability to understand and accept not just different cultures and races, but various personalities as well. Not everyone is the same. I’ve learned not just myself, but many people shape themselves through the environment they were brought up in, and what the individual wants to become through their live endeavors.

I’ve been living in Japan for six years. I have always been fascinated with Japanese pop culture, and also Japan’s history as well. This is a country where you can clearly see the past, present, and future. I’ve also been fascinated with the Japanese language. It is very different than the English language. I like the Chinese characters known as Kanji in particular. Through my upbringing, I’ve always loved to not just have a conversation with people, but communicate with people as well. As I continue to improve in my Japanese, I find myself being able to communicate with Japanese people and see that we have more similarities than I thought, despite our cultural differences.

As an English teacher, I aim to help improve people’s language abilities. Learning Japanese, I know it’s difficult to learn a second language, so I hope to help you improve your English and take it to the next level. I look forward to meeting you.
