1. No JAPANESE Policy
No Japanese is allowed on this site.
We make it a rule to compel students to speak English not only during lesson times but also break times, meal times and free time in their bedrooms. At the beginning, many people tend to feel that it is embarrassing to speak English with Japanese people.
However, it starts to be normal if you continue to do so.
It often happen that by the time students are on the bus back to the station, they feel embarrassed to speak Japanese with each other.
It is clear that it is not embarrassing to speak English with Japanese people, but that it is just embarrassing to do things differently than usual.
2. Lesson ×3 hours in the morning
All the lessons are based on the concept of Language Village.
We do not use any commercially available textbooks. We create our own lessons and materials because we believe that we are one of the rare companies which act according to our own concept.
Furthermore,our teachers are well trained to understand the typical problems of Japanese people and to know how to deal with them.
3. Coffee Break
Aggressiveness is good during break-time.
Students are compelled to speak English during lesson time. In the beginning, you will feel that it is quite hard. Therefore, break-time is a very rare chance to relax. However, after you get used to this environment, try to take advantage of even break-time to speak out.!
Do not hesitate to take advantage of the opportunity. First speak, first served!
4. Lesson ×3 hours in the afternoon
All the lessons are created through a collaboration of foreign teachers and Japanese staff.
Japanese staff know the weak points of Japanese students better than foreign teachers. However, if we try to create lessons only by ourselves, they tend to be one-way lessons.
Therefore, we think that it is important to let foreign teachers create ideas for interactive lessons.
We have come to the conclusion that it is necessary for both Japanese staff and foreign teachers to collaborate in order to create the best lessons.
5. Break Time
Playing games and sports in break time gives you many chances to learn “living English.”
Break-time is full of opportunities to learn “living English” that is difficult to find in official lessons. Language Village offers facilities such as a pool table, ping pong table, basketball court and tennis court.
Of course, you can use them for free. Please take advantage of the break time before dinner to interact with foreign teachers. This kind of experience allows you to understand not only the English language, but also the sports themselves.
6. Meals（Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner）
One of the best parts of Language Village is having meals with foreign teachers.
We insist that the core-competence of Language Village as a fusion of “Life” and “English” is having 3 meals a day with foreign teachers. There is no better chance to let students experience “living English.” Please try to find as many chances as possible.
7. Bathing
You can relax in the bath with a sauna system.
We have big baths with sauna systems. When you finish one day, your brains must be excited more than you expected. Please refresh yourselves and get ready for the next day.
8. Movie（Optional）
Real Movie theater?
You can enjoy yourselves with a movie at the end of the day. Of course, this is not an obligation. It is optional. If you feel tired, do not hesitate to skip it. We show it with Japanese subtitles so that beginner students can also enjoy it. If you are an advanced student, try to enjoy it without them.
