Exciting season!

Hey everyone,
It’s Alyssa, and I’m so excited because spring is in the air. For those of you who don’t know, I am from Miami, Florida in America so I really don’t like cold weather. However, in Florida there are less varieties of flowers during the springtime than in Japan because the weather does not get cold enough in the winter. Coming to Japan has given me the opportunity to see many flowers that I hadn’t seen before such as narcissus, plum blossoms and cherry blossoms. It is still a little too cold in Fuji for cherry blossoms to bloom, so a couple weeks ago, a few of the teachers and I went to see the cherry blossoms in Kawazu in Izu. I really like cherry blossoms because they are cute and dainty and they look very delicate when they fall from the trees. When the cherry blossoms start to bloom in Fuji, I hope to enjoy flower-viewing (hanami) with my friends.
