Hi, everyone! This is Alyssa’s blog.
As you may have read in my last blog, I really like flowers.
So, in order to see as many spring flowers as possible, I went to a flower exposition last weekend.
The flower exposition was held by Lake Hamana in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka.
Although the time for most spring flowers—like cherry blossoms and narcissus—has passed, roses are now in full bloom. The English rose garden at the exposition was quite spectacular.
There were so many different varieties of flowers with all different shapes, colors, and scents.
My favorite varieties were those with multiーcolored petals and a small, round shape.
While roses were the main attraction when I went, there are many different flowers blooming
during different months such as cherry blossoms, irises, and tulips.
Also, if you are lucky, you can see street performers and water fountain shows.
The exposition begins in March and goes until June, so if you like flowers
and have time to go to Hamamatsu, I would recommend visiting the flower exposition.
