Visiting the Philippines

Hi, everyone! This is Alyssa’s blog again.
Last week I went to the Philippines for the first time. I went there to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins that I had not seen in 15 years. I was very nervous because one, I was flying internationally by myself, and, two, I was flying from Haneda airport for the first time. Luckily, everything worked out and I made it to Manila with no problems. When I met my relatives at the airport, everyone was very excited to see me. We spent the first half of my trip traveling in Palawan, an island in the southwest part of the Philippines. Palawan had beautiful beaches with blue, crystal clear water. In Palawan I went zip-lining, island hopping, and snorkeling. I was also able to eat many mangoes. The second half of my trip I spent sight-seeing and shopping with my cousins in Manila. Shopping was a lot of fun, but I wish I had brought a bigger suitcase to fit more clothes and souvenirs. If you have free time and some extra money and you want to go on a tropical getaway, I recommend visiting the Philippines. I had a great time.
